How I work

At the heart of my work as a therapist is the belief that every story matters and deserves to be heard with compassion and care. I’m here to help you explore your experiences and help with the parts that feel hard.

Jenny Donovan

Jenny comes to Clover Counseling with a wealth of experience working with children, adolescents, and collaborating with parents through life’s most challenging moments. With a background in pediatric palliative care, school-based support, and individual therapy in the collegiate setting, Jenny brings a deep understanding of the unique emotional needs of young people. She specializes in working with clients navigating grief and loss, anxiety, chronic or serious illness, and life transitions.

Jenny’s warm and compassionate therapeutic style is grounded in solution-focused and cognitive behavioral approaches, helping clients develop healthy coping skills and strategies to help with stressors. She also values collaboration with caregivers to ensure continuity of support. Outside of her work, Jenny loves to explore local coffee shops, making playlists for her loved ones, and spending time with her golden retriever, Sadie.

Jenny has immediate availability for afternoon appointments and accepts Harvard Pilgrim insurance Optum and pending Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Therapy with me is

  • I take pride in my personality coming through in sessions. Showing compassion for what people are going through is very important.

  • I will work with you to ensure that we are focusing on you or your child’s strengths as well as the challenges

  • Working together with someone to unpack some mental health challenges makes finding a solution not as overwhelming. We will problem solve together
